Virtual Parts
Standard Virtual Parts (SVPs) is a formalism developed for the modelling of genetic elements. Virtual parts are modular, reusable models of physical biological parts, which can be composed to create genetic circuits.
Virtual Parts repository holds around 3000 SVPs for promoters, operators, coding sequences, ribosomal binding sites, terminators and shims and 700 models of interactions between them. All SVPs are provided in SBML format. In addition, sequence-based descriptions of parts are given in SBOL format. The repository also provides REST-based APIs for automated access and a library using it to retrieve information about parts as Java objects.
