I have recently started my PhD in association with CRITiCaL (Combatting cRiminals In The CLoud) project. In this talk, I will give a brief overview of the project and my role in it.

There are many opportunities for a security researcher that come with the availability of "big data". I focus on the analysis of vulnerabilities in Free/Libre and Open Source Software, leveraging availability of the source code and data from user and developer communities. I'm working on integrating information from GitHub (source code and issues), Stack Overflow (questions and answers), and Snyk (database of vulnerabilities in popular FLOSS libraries). Later on, this data would be analysed using multimodal time series analysis and human-interpretable machine learning.
