Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP) are projects funded by the UK government that encourage collaboration between industry and Academia. In this talk, I will summarise my experience in a KTP project involving Newcastle University and XACT PCB, a software company which markets a software product based on machine learning and data visualization. XACT'S customers are Printed Circuit Board (PCB) manufacturing plants, that apply XACT's sofware to the motorisation and optimisation of the PCB manufacturing process. I will discuss some of my past and current work in the project, together with plans for the future.
