In this talk I shall discuss two recent projects. The first is to investigate brain connectivity networks at a spatial scale much more detailed than those previously studied. I will show how this can lead to novel insights into brain function and dysfunction. Secondly, in a computational model of brain dysfunction, I shall discuss how stimulation can be used to abate seizure-like dynamics similar to those observed in patients with epilepsy. I shall conclude with the suggestion that computational modelling, used in concert with subject specific brain connectivity derived in vivo, will lead to an improved understanding of both healthy and pathological human brain function.
