Travelling to Nottingham

The nearest airport to Nottingham is East Midlands Airport (EMA). EMA is connected to many destinations in Europe. However, only fly there if you got a direct flight from your place of origin, as landing at EMA after a connection is usually very pricy.

Once you are at EMA, there are two options of bus service to go to Nottingham. The indigo bus (direction to Nottingham), which runs hourly, leaves you directly at University Park. Alternatively, Skylink buses operate at least hourly 24/7 from the airport to Nottingham City Centre. Once you reach Nottingham city centre you need to take a local bus. Please see Nottingham regional bus journey planner below.

If landing at EMA is not suitable to you, the Birmingham (BHX), Manchester (MAN), Luton (LTN) or Stansted (STN) are alternative airports. You can get to Nottingham from all of them by public transport (train or coach) in 1.5-4h, depending on the airport.

UK train journey planner: National Rail. NOT is the short code for the main station in Nottingham City Centre

UK coach journey planner: National Express. Direct coaches operate from all airports in UK to Nottingham city centre
